Effects of fixing PRSS vulnerability with reverse proxy

The latest versions of Xeams, SynaMan and Syncrify address PRSS vulnerability by adding a BASE tag in the HTML, which essentially replaces every relative URL with an absolute value. Adding this BASE tag could potentially create a problem when running Syncrify, SynaMan or Xeams behind a reverse proxy server.

Follow the steps below to bypass this fix.

  • Locate the server.properties file. Create it if missing.
  • Add the following line:
    skip.base.tag.html=true
  • Save the file
  • Restart

Addressing PRSS vulnerability

Since Syncrify or SynaMan won't address PRSS vulnerability when the above method is used, we recommend ensuring your proxy server addresses this problem.
