Web Interface
When you install the Syncrify server, it automatically runs an embedded web server. This web server listens on port 5800 for incoming client request by default. However, if no other server is listening on port 80, it is recommended you switch Syncrify's web server from 5800 to 80.
When you use TCP/IP port 80 for Syncrify's web server, clients do not have to specify the port number in the URL. For example:
http://backup.YourCompany.comVerses
http://backup.YourCompany.com:5800Often, novice users either forget to specify a port or type the URL incorrectly in their browser. Using port 80 as the default port will eliminate these mistakes.
