Advantages Of Not Using a Proprietary File Format

Files stored in by Syncrify on the destination are exactly in the same format as the source. This is done by design, which provides the following advantages over software that use a proprietary format:

• Administrators can easily access the files from the destination. If a handful of files are needed, simply copy them to a temporary storage such as USB drive.
• Files can be made accessible through other software. For example, an FTP server or a more robust file sharing software like SynaMan.
• Files are accessible from Syncrify Server's web interface and can be viewed/downloaded on any computer or mobile device
• Backing up files to a yet another system is very easy.
