How to manually delete folder cache

Folder cache tries to remember state of files in between multiple backups. This eliminates the need for Syncrify Client to query the state of a folder during backup, which reduces overall time for file synchronization.

This folder cache is automatically becomes stale after 30 days. Use the following method to remove this cache manually if needed.

  • Open Syncrify Client
  • Click Open Data Folder under the File menu. This will open up Windows File Explorer in a particular folder called Data Folder.
  • Go into a sub-folder called FolderCache.
  • Contents of this folder represents profiles on your machine. Deleting the sub-folder for you profile will delete the cache.
