Introducing Xeams Version 7.5

Millstone, NJ - Synametrics Technologies, Inc., a New Jersey-based solutions provider for IT professionals and computer systems developers, has introduced the latest update of Xeams Version 7.5.

Xeams is a secure and powerful complete mail server for Windows, Linux, Solaris, MacOSX and other flavors of UNIX. Xeams supports SMTP, POP3, and IMAP. It features a powerful spam filtering engine that eliminates up to 99% of junk email upon installation. The software offers a flexible approach to email, making it a very user friendly server. The newest version of Xeams is comprised of a variety of upgrades, new additions, and bug fixes to ensure a secure and efficient email solution for users.

The latest update to this powerful spam filtering product offers a flexible and secure approach to e-mail, making it both user friendly and efficient. Version 7.5 features a variety of upgrades including the ability to check if any user is connecting in an unsecure manner. For additional security, connections to IMAP server that is not using SSL is denied if Xeams supports STARTTLS for IMAP.

Along with these features, Xeams also has a variety of bug fixes that make the email archiving and spam filtering features more effective than ever before. Bugs related to Searching in IMAP are fixed along with Thunderbird now being able to download every attached file when using IMAP.

• Ability to check if any user is connecting in an unsecure manner. Details...
• Connections to IMAP server that are not using SSL are denied if your Xeams supports STARTTLS for IMAP. Add imap.disable.plain.login.without.ssl=false in server.properties to change this behavior and allow connections in clear. This work-around is NOT recommended.
• Message to Restart Xeams is not displayed when Profile admins log in
• Bug Fix: Several bugs related to Searching in IMAP are fixed
• Bug Fix: Occasionally, Thunderbird does not download every attached file when using IMAP
