Error - Profile Data Not Available

When trying to modify profile settings from the server's end, you get an error that says:

Profile's data not available.

Information about a profile is required on the server's end before modifying it can be modified. This information is pushed from clients to the server when:

  • A profile is saved in Syncrify Client.
  • A backup is run

Therefore, it is possible to see this error when you upgrade Syncrify from an older version and some profiles haven't had a chance to run yet. In that case, the error should get resolved after some time.

My server has been running for days. Why do I still see this error?

This could happen if a Syncrify Client is configured to synchronize with multiple Syncrify Servers and the selected profile connect to a different server. Consider the following scenario as an example.

  • ClientA has 3 profiles: P1, P2 and P3.
  • P1 and P2 connect to Server1, and P3 connects to Server2.
  • Since two profiles connect to Server1, you will only see this client on the Remote Client screen of Server1. However, you will not be able to modify P3 since it never backs up to Server1.
